When I first read about the murder of Dr. George Tiller, I was appalled. It sickens me when people kill in the name of God and use violence as a means to draw attention to their cause.

Tiller was murdered inside his own church in Wichita, Kansas. I’ve read some comments regarding this tragedy. I find it disgusting that there are people who believe that he deserved his fate since he was a late-term abortionist. So,  his demise was justifiable? I think not. Two gross wrongs certainly don’t make a right.

Just who are these sickos who have been praising the suspect Scott Roeder? Should we then murder the women that have abortions too?

To top it all off, there were demonstrators at Tiller’s funeral.  Granted, most anti-abortion groups have denounced Tiller’s murder and avoided the service. But, approximately 17 yahoos from Westboro Baptist Church decided to show up with signs such as “God sent the shooter” and “Abortion is bloody murder”. These are the same people who picket soldiers’ funerals to present the message that their deaths are God’s punishment for Americans’ tolerance of homosexuality. Utterly classless and disrespectful.

Seriously? Funerals? If you’re going to have a protest, do it on neutral ground. Otherwise, the attention you draw to your cause will all be negative.

  1. Funeral protesters are one sick bunch of wackos. Have a little respect for the grieving families.

And there’s got to be a better way to promote the “right to life” than by actually taking a life. Seems a bit hypocritical.
